Topic: Cultural Impacts on Parenting Styles

How does your parents’ cultural background impact how they raised you? What are the stereotypes, and do they hold up? How does the perception of how you were raised/parented affect how you were treated by others (friends, employers, teachers, schools, other parents)? Has does this impact how you are parenting (or plan to parent) your child(ren)? Do you look at people and assume you know how they were brought up? Do you treat individuals differently because of that?

With Mother’s Day around the corner, ask your mom about this, bring her and come discuss the internal and external effects culture has on parenting styles.
