We were able to get quite a bit done today thanks to some extra help from students that came to Church on the Street for a service day. They learned about our mission, how we accomplish it, what it means to be Jesus’ representative to the least of these, and more. It was a great, and busy day. We finished off the day with a debriefing and then a staff meeting.
I spoke with some more Atlanta Police officers today to let them know about the mission of Church on the Street and how we can help them when they have to deal with a homeless person. Please pray that God will give us opportunities to educate the wider community on the mission of Jesus through Church on the Street.
We are in need of mens and womens socks. Winter is coming soon and these will be needed by those that are living on the street.
